DAY 3: KATAVI NATIONAL PARK-FULL DAY

After breakfast with your lunch box you will explore the wonderful scenery of Katavi National Park the palm fringed Lake Chada in the South-East, and Katima River. Here you will have a chance to see greatest population of Crocodile and Hippos, Lion and Leopard find pray among the huge population of herbivorous e.g. Impala, Eland, Topi, Zebra and many more, visitors who arrive here can look forward to having her huge untouched wildness. DAY 6: GOMBE-KIGOMA TOWN-DR LIVINGSTONE MEMORIAL MUSEUM

Morning breakfast and return to Kigoma by Boat; There after proceed Ujiji; Ujiji is the oldest town located about 6 miles (10 km) south of Kigoma Town. Ujiji is the place where Richard Burton and John Speke first reached the shore of Lake Tanganyika in 1858. It is also the site of the famous meeting on October 28, 1871 when Henry Stanley found Dr. David Livingstone, and reputedly uttered the famous words “Dr. Livingstone, I presume?” Livingstone, whom many thought dead as no news had been heard of him for several years and who had only arrived back in Ujiji the day before, wrote “When my spirits were at their lowest ebb, the good Samaritan was close at hand, for one morning my servant Susi came running at the top of his speed and gasped out, ‘An Englishman! I see him!’ and off he darted to meet him. The American flag at the head of the caravan told of the nationality of the stranger.

Bales of goods, baths of tin, huge kettles, cooking pots, tents, etc., made me think, ‘This must be a luxurious traveller, and not one at his wits’ end like me.'” A monument known as the “Dr. Livingstone Memorial” was erected in Ujiji to commemorate the meeting. There is also a modest museum. There is a former slave route near the market.

In 1878, the London Missionary Society established their first missionary post on the shore of Lake Tanganyika at Ujiji. There after you will drive back to your hotel lunch relax in your hotel dinner and overnight at

DAY1:ARUSHA-MAHALE(MONDAY AND THURSDAY). Leave Arusha airport at 08:00 Hours for Mahale with shared charter plane arrival at 13:30 hours, pick up by speed boat along the Lake Tanganyika Beach and transfer to the Nkungwe Luxury Tented Camp for dinner and overnight. MEAL PLAN:FB

DAY 2 AND 3:WALKING SAFARI AND HIKING MAHALE MOUNTAINS FOREST:

Spend three full days of walking safaris starting with chimpanzee tracking in the mountain forest of Mahale,vising the research center of Chimpanzee and hiking to the water falls.Late afternoon spend sometime along the beach of Lake Tanganyika relaxing on the soft sand and watching the sun goes down or boat rides down the lake shores looking for hippos.Dinner and bonfire at the Nkungwe Luxury Tented Camp.

DAY 4:RETURN TO ARUSHA (THURSDAY AND MONDAY).

Breakfast at the Camp, and then a boat ride in the Lake Tanganyika to the airstrip for 13:45 hours shared charter plan to Arusha arrival at 16:00 Hours,pick up from the airport and transfer to your Hotel in Town.
