11 Days/10 Nights Zanzibar with Gorillas in Uganda

DAY 01 ARRIVAL IN TANZANIA:

Arrival at the Zanzibar International airport then meet and greet our guide.He will transfer you to Blue Bay Beach Resort Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02 SPICE TOUR:

After breakfast you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro airport for your flight to Zanzibar.After arrival,you shall carry out the Spice Tour on the way to the North East Beach.This can last a half day in the Western or Central parts of the Island where abundance of vegetation exist.The excursion takes you through plantations,private gardens and forests.On the way will stop at the Old Sultan Rest House to view the Persian Bath built in 1850 by Seyyid Said Bin Sultan who was the first Sultan in Zanzibar.Experience the unique opportunity to visit the local farms and talk to farmers who will show you the traditional spices and fruits of Zanzibar.Option visits include Maruhubi Monument,Mtoni Palace and Kidichi Persian Bath.After that wonderful tour,you will have learned all about spices and herbs Zanzibar is famous for.Have Overnight stay and dinner at Blue Bay Beach Resort.

DAY 03 JOZANI FOREST TOUR:

Wake up with sunrise at the Island then have your first breakfast at the Hotel.The guide will take you to Jozani Forest which is the biggest natural forest situated at about 35km from Zanzibar Stone Town.Have a nature walk in the forest while viewing Red Colobus Monkey,Bush baby,Euict Cats,Lumning hrew,Quarrets,Leopard and a variety of bird species among others.Have lunch then relax at the site while asking questions to the guide then in the evening you will go back to Blue Bay Beach Resort for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 04 PRISON ISLAND TOUR:

Relax and enjoy Zanzibar North East Beach around Blue Bay Beach Resort while taking your breakfast.The guide will take you to Prison Island.You can board a local dhow from Stone Town and head towards Prison Island also known as Changuu Island (Sea Bus Island) famous for its Prison and giant tortoises that were imported from Seychelles Island in the late 19 th Century.The Island is fringed with beautiful coral reefs ideal for snorkeling and has a lovely white beach for sun bathing.You will have lunch and enjoy freshly caught variety fish.Spend the rest of your day at the Island then in the afternoon board a dhow back to boarding point.Transfer North Beach Hotel,overnight and dinner Lagemma Dell East.

DAY 05 DOLPHIN TOUR:

Today you will have your breakfast in the morning and get prepared for another activity.The guide will take you through Dolphin Tour.The site is located in the South Coast of Zanzibar to Kizimkazi where you can learn about different types and behaviors of Dolphins.You can start participating in each activity like as seeing them,playing and swimming with Dolphins.Then afterwards explain historical culture and architecture towns of Zanzibar with a century history from the guide.In afternoon drive back to Lagemma Dell East Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 06 STONE TOWN TOUR:

Wake up with early morning breakfast served at your Hotel.The guide will take you through Stone Town the bold City and cultural hear of Zanzibar in last 2000 years.It is the place of winding alley,bustling bazaars,Mosques and grand Arab houses.Recently it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.You will visit the Old market,Old Anglican Church located on the site of the old slave market and the National Museum,old fort (Portuguese Fort) dating back since 1700,the House of Wonder and The People,s Palace.In the afternoon transfer to East Coast Beach.Overnight and dinner stay in Breez Beach Club.

DAY 07 ZANZIBAR TO ENTEBBE:

Begin your day with sunrise breakfast then the guide will take you to the Zanzibar airport.From here you will then catch your flight to Entebbe International airport – Uganda.The guide will meet and greet you on your arrival.He will transfer you to Gately Inn for dinner and overnight.

DAY 08 ENTEBBE TO BWINDI:

After your morning breakfast,meet our guide for a briefing before you set off for long journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.Depart to South Western Uganda.En-route,stop at the Equator and get a chance to be in both hemispheres at the same time,take experiment and get to know changes in your body weight at the Equator line.Continue to Mbarara arriving in time for lunch,proceed to Kigezi through terrace hills while descending to Bwindi National Park,a typical rain forest with dense undergrowth and home to the mountain Gorillas.Have dinner and overnight stay at Buhoma Homestead (budget) Gorilla Resort Lodge (Luxurious).

DAY 09 GORILLA TREKKING THE WHOLE DAY:

After an early morning briefing by the ranger guide,go Gorilla tracking (subject to permit availability at the time of booking).Tracking the Gorilla through the Impenetrable forest require patience and endurance,sometimes walking for many hours in the mud and rain.The time taken and the terrain vary with the Gorilla movement.Coming face to face with mans shy cousins in the jungle is an inspiring moment,carry with packed lunch.Have dinner and overnight stay Buhoma Homestead (budget) Gorilla Resort Lodge Luxurious).

DAY 10 BWINDI – KAMPALA:

Wake up and take your breakfast then depart back to Kampala arriving late in the evening at Gately Inn for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 11 ENTEBBE BACK HOMELAND:

Have your breakfast and get prepared for check in at the airport to catch your flight back to your country.
